The Directorate of Distance Education of the University holds 1.30 lakhs scholars as its total strength. This reputed University holds 109 affiliated colleges, 9 autonomous colleges inducting various other authorized institutions and 7 evening colleges under its control. Beneficial extension activities like NSS, NCC, Department of Youth Welfare, Adult Education Programs and Schedule Cast/Tribe Cell are functioning well to bring out the internal potentials of the students.

The University provides Residential Quarters to Vice-Chancellor, Academic and Administrative personnel, Registrar, Married Research Scholars and Drivers. The University offers its grand services to its students by granting hostel facilities to its scholars. It holds 5 men’s hostel adapting 724 students and 3 women’s hostel adapting 356 students which includes M.Phil students, PG students and Research Scholars of various staffs in the University.

The University has 3 Guest house in the campus. The Main Guest House is specially intended for VIPs stay visit in the University. The Faculty Guest Home is meant to conduct conferences and the Third Guest House is confiscated to the D.D.E.
